Canada is a bucket-list destination for skiers and boarders alike, famed for its knee-deep powder, immaculately groomed slopes and wide, tree-lined runs. Some resorts are based in national parks, surrounded by spectacular scenery and wildlife, while all are known for their high-quality hotels and warm hospitality.
Most resorts offer activities for the whole family to participate in, including skiing, heliskiing, tubing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, ecotours, kids clubs, spa, dining and your favourite activity apres ski.
Some of the best places to ski & snowboard in Canada are:
Whistler-Blackcomb - British Columbia
Whistler Blackcomb offers 3,306 hectares (8,171 acres), 1,609 vertical meters (5,280 feet), and 200+ trails of powder-filled bowls, ancient glades and mile-long cruisers all covered in an average of nearly 40 feet of snowfall each season. In the valley, you’ll find a pedestrian-friendly village with over 200 retail shops, award-winning restaurants, legendary nightlife, and an endless collection of activities.

Mont Tremblant - Quebec
Mont Tremblant’s biggest attraction is the experience of a cozy French alpine resort, conveniently located just 1.5 hours from Montreal and less than two hours from Ottawa. The trails at Mont Tremblant are not only extremely well-groomed but offer an array of difficulty with around half of their 102 trails designated for experts. The picturesque European-style village at the base is equipped with a full range of luxury hotels, fine dining and shopping. Mont Tremblant is also extremely family-friendly, offering a great ski school, play centres and non-skiing activities such as snowshoeing, fat biking and cross-country skiing.

Blue Mountain - Ontario
Blue Mountain Ski Resort, a little over two hours north of Toronto, is one of the top ski resorts in Canada. This is a fun, family-focused hill, with all kinds of activities and facilities. What Blue lacks in elevation, it makes up for in overall terrain, stretching along the Niagara Escarpment, with plenty of room to accommodate the crowds that descend on this resort on weekends.
